About Us
At Whytebeams Nursery School we aim to provide a happy, secure and caring environment where children feel welcome
and learn to socialise, share and become confident in early skills.
Facilities
We have a large spacious hall with another room attached to the hall. There is a big enclosed garden with a large soft surface, sandpit, climbing frame, swing and natural area with raised plant beds for planting. We have a large variety of good quality resources and equipment to give children an extensive range of opportunities.
At Whytebeams we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum or EYFS for short. Within this there are 7 areas of learning. The first three prime areas are communication and language, physical development and personal social and emotional social and emotional development. The four further areas are maths, literacy, understanding the world and expressive arts and design. We have a planned theme every two weeks for the children's learning and incorporate all seven areas into this plan. The plans are fun and flexible and also incorporate the children's interests.
Additional Activities
We have a Musical Theatre session on Friday mornings and regular visits from a football and ball skills coach. The sessions are available to children at an extra cost.
